Up until tonight, I had never attended a caucus. I did not know what to do or what was involved here in the small town that I lived in. We went to the local High School to see what was involved or what was to happen. We were separated into townships. From our township we were to choose delegates for the county caucus on March 15th. My Mom and I were chosen which wasn’t hard because we were two of seven people and nine were needed. I would imagine from the looks of the room, that would be the case in most of the townships.
The next step was to do a straw poll for the Republican candidate. These were the numbers:
Huckabee 16
McCain 17
Paul 3
Romney 18
We will now go to the County Caucus and from there, who knows. I think this is what they call learning on the fly!
Just for the record, the Republican party in our county is darn near extinct and most of the people that were there are on social security. Looks a bit grim for the future as I am sure most of the younger people like myself that have conservative leanings were with their kids at sporting events or at home in front of the t.v. The worst thing is that I was almost among them. My Mommy made me go and I am thankful!
Holy cow,
I can’t believe we would give that corrupt government anything…
what is wrong w/ us?

Thanks terri!
I have been on vacation so I am just catching up now. I am disgusted because when I came back, there was a school bus accident here in which an illegal alien ran a stop sign and tipped over a bus in which 4 children were killed. Worse yet, she had been caught driving without a license two years ago!
I am putting something together for the blog.
Thank you!
